Dal matrimonio con mweqZeusippe (sorella di sua madre mwegPrassitea), ebbe i figli mwewProcne, mwfaFilomela, mwfqBute ed mwfgEretteocite-ref-theoi-com-1-1[1].

Gli fu dedicato un recinto sacro sull'mwhaAcropoli di Atene, il mwhqsantuario di Pandion.

Mitologia

Combatté una guerra contro mwiaLabdaco il re di mwiqTebe e durante questa guerra accorse in suo aiuto mwigTereo, mwiwre di Tracia, a cui Pandione diede in sposa la figlia Procnecite-ref-2[2].

Pandione ebbe un nipote da sua figlia mwkqFilomela che diventerà l'ottavo mitologico mwkgre di Atene: mwkwPandione II.

Alla sua morte fu succeduto da mwlqEretteo (il sesto re di Atene).
